CAT and Genny

The Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and Genny transmitter course is designed for managers, supervisors and operatives who may need to locate underground apparatus for work on roadways and/or highways. To provide them with the skills and knowlege to carry out cable aoidance work in-line with the NRSW 1991.

Duration: 1 day (also available as a haf day course)

Aims and objectives

At the end of the instruction the candidates will be able to:

understand the basic principles of the NRSW Act 1991 and standards as laid down by City and Guilds.
identify potential risks to themselves and others.
read and understand site plans.
operate cable avoidance tools in order to avoid or locate underground apparatus.
