Working at Heights

Falling from height is the single biggest killer of workers in the UK across all industry sectors.

The introduction of the Work at Height Regulations in April 2005 has meant companies must comply with new regulations. This programme is designed for Managers and Supervisors who have a responsibility for working at heights within their organisation.

In addition to the above course, we offer a unique consultancy service aimed at designing Working at Heights training to fit your specific business needs.

Duration: 1 day (Bespoke courses will be a minimum of a ½ day).

Aims and objectives

The course will provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the new ‘Work at Height Regulations 2005’, dangers associated with this type of work and how to implement the regulations and safe practices into their workplace:

Legislation.
Organisation and planning, competence and risk assessment.
Selection of work equipment; guard rails/toe-boards, working platforms, ladders, positioning systems, fall arrest and restraint systems.
Fragile surfaces.
Falling objects
Inspections including records and reporting

We will submit all CITB claim forms on your behalf and submit a copy to your company within seven days of course completion.

All training is presented by a qualified trainer and delivered on site wherever possible. Courses include all handouts, books and refreshments.
